Web Project Assistant

 
Red Sky IT Solutions is looking for an Assistant for our web projects to work in our Bedford office. We need someone who is creative, technically savvy and organized.

• Have you worked in a project environment before?
• Do you have experience managing web design projects from start-up through post-launch?
• Are you able to adapt to a role that’s still being defined?
• Do you understand the necessity of delivering to clients while meeting schedules and budgets?

Senior analysts will focus on client relationships and requirements analysis. They’ll also write the initial specification for the developers and graphic artists. You’ll be able to focus on delivery; how those pieces fit into the bigger picture and following through with other team members such as developers and quality assurance.

Who we’re looking for

• You know your way around website technologies – you’re not a programmer, but you know the basics of of a good website design.
• You have exceptional communication skills -verbal, written, email and chat.
• You can take complex tasks and break them down into increments that will both get the work done, and help your team members feel a sense of accomplishment.
• You have no problem with multiple projects being Priority #1 and hurdling from one project to another approximately every 15 minutes.
• You are happiest when working in a high-energy environment.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate the activities of analysts, website developers and other offsite resources from project initiation through post-site launch.
• Take information that other team members gather from clients and developers and turn them into activities that fit the project schedule.  
• Track project schedules and budget. You can manage this for a few projects at the same time.
• Keep the company principles informed regularly with project statuses.

Skills that would get our attention

• Experience using web based project management (ticketing) system such as Zendesk, Red Mine or Open Atrium.
• Knowledge of the workings of content management systems - Drupal and Joomla, in particular.
• Experience with the features of the Magento eCommerce platform such as maintaining the online product catalog.
